Enough Food for Everyone IF

Be in Hyde Park on Saturday 8 June to show the G8 you care about hunger
The background:   the world produces enough food for everyone. So why does one person in eight go to bed hungry every night? Why do two million children die unnecessarily every year, because of hunger?
It doesn't have to be this way.
There is enough food for everyone - but only if governments unite to make companies more accountable, fight tax dodging, focus aid on small-scale farmers and stop land grabs.
On 8 June world leaders are meeting here in the UK for the G8 and tackling the causes of hunger is on the agenda. They have the power to act. We call for action on tax, aid, land and transparency.
Over 170 development agencies and faith groups are joining forces in London on Saturday 8 June to show world leaders the strength of support for urgent action to tackle global hunger. We have an unprecedented op[portunity to get the change we need. And YOU are invited. Join the service in Westminster Central Hall at 11.30 am and the demonstration in Hyde Park at 2 pm.   More details from the Christian Aid website or  enoughfoodif.com

Would you like to see the places Jesus saw and walk in His footsteps?

Rev Philip Bromiley and Rev Maureen Alchin are leading a pilgrimage to The Holy Land between  2nd to 11th October, 2013  (and optional three day extra relaxing stay in Galilee).
A pilgrimage is so much more than a holiday. It's a time of spiritual refreshment. In these days, we'll be visiting the likes of Bethlehem, Nazareth, Masada, the Dead Sea, and Jerusalem. Imagine walking down the Mount of Olives or singing Silent night in a cave in Shepherds fields, or standing outside the Garden Tomb, or worshipping on a Sunday morning in a Church in Jerusalem, or sharing Communion on the shores of Lake Galilee.
There will be opportunities to explore some of the political issues that affect Israel and Palestine, including the chance to meet with locals on the ground.
This will truly be a once in a lifetime experience. It will last a lot longer than he 10-14 days of the pilgrimage. The trip will remain in the memory forever. Going on pilgrimage to the Holy Land is like reading a 5th Gospel. It will have a profound impact upon you every time you open your Scriptures.
Everything (flights, coaches, admission fees, guides, food and hotels) is included in the price of £1830 each. We'll do our best to match people up to avoid paying single supplement prices.
If you'd like to have brochure or chat over the details with Philip, please do not hesitate ( philbromiley@hotmail.co.uk  or 01249820062). There is no upper limit on the amount of folk who can come and it's that we've already had bookings and interest.
